Welcome to the
President's Note Our October technical meeting was very informative. Gerald DeBusk, PhD, CPA CMA spoke to us about Lean Accounting. It was a great time for our members to meet Dr. DeBusk who is the most recent addition to our stellar Accounting Department at UTC. This month we will hold a joint meeting with the local ASWA chapter ( American Society of Women Accountants). Bill Acuff, CPA will be our speaker. His topic is “Fraud and Computer-AidedPrevention and Detection Techniques ”. Those of you who have heard Bill speak know that this is a meeting you won’t want to miss. Please note that November’s meeting will be at the Chattanooga Trade & Convention Center.Our chapter would like to recognize members who are pursuing their CMA designation. Please send an email to Christy-Smith@UTC.edu when you have passed a part (let her know which one) or have received your designation.
