About the
Speaker:
Bill Acuff, a Certified Fraud Examiner, is
Director of Forensic Services with Decosimo Forensic Accounting
and has over twenty-five years of experience in public
accounting, fraud investigations and litigation support.
Certified Fraud Examiners in the Decosimo CPA Firm provide
services in the investigation of fraud by collecting documentary
and electronic evidence, conducting interviews, writing reports
and testifying to findings. In addition, Decosimo's CFEs provide
consulting services in the prevention and detection of white
collar crime, including the use of computer-aided detection
tools and techniques.
The CFE designation is awarded by the ACFE (Association of
Certified Fraud Examiners) and individuals who earn this
credential show advanced proficiency in fraud investigations,
fraud prevention and fraud detection.
Bill is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University, with
post baccalaureate work at the University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga. He is a member of the Association of Certified
Fraud Examiners (ACFE), American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA), the Tennessee Society of Certified Public
Accountants (TSCPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public
Accountants (GSCPA), The International Accounts Payable
Professionals (IAPP) and the Institute of Internal Auditors
(IIA).
Bill serves as President of the Chattanooga Area Chapter of the
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is a member of the
Business Valuation, Forensic Investigations and Litigation
Services Committee of the TSCPA. He is a frequent speaker and
presenter on forensic services, fraud investigations, fraud
prevention and fraud detection.
